Overall objective of the project:


Strengthen the capacity of youth to exercise citizenship rights and actively participate in democratic decision-making processes within their institutions.

Sub-objectives of the program over four years:

First year:

Strengthen the capacities of civil society institutions working in support of youth to participate effectively in local decision-making processes within their institutions.

Second Year:

Support local institutions and strengthen their role in the field of democracy and local development.


Third Year:

Supporting youth to effectively build their roles within their institutions and strengthen their roles in policies for good governance and effective practices at the local and national levels.

 Fourth year:

Implement and practice basic procedures for good governance in youth and women's issues and institutionalize strategies, policies and tools for accountability, transparency and good governance in local councils and targeted civil society institutions at the national level.

Program results:

Youth are able to exercise citizenship rights and actively participate in democratic decision-making processes within their institutions at the local and national levels.
