Khobz wa Melh (Bread and Salt – Getting Together to Talk) Project is a three-year initiative implemented by Ta’awon for Conflict Resolution in partnership with DW Akademie and funded by the EU and BMZ. The project aims to enhance social resilience and promote constructive dialogue across Palestine by bridging the fields of media, information literacy, and peacebuilding.
This project targets five Palestinian governorates: Jenin, Nablus, Tulkarm, Jerusalem, and Hebron. The project identifies key actors, networks, and practices that contribute to dialogue, mediation, social cohesion, conflict resolution, conflict prevention, and media development.
Building on these insights, Khobz wa Melh empowers hundreds of community-based organizations (CBOs), journalists, influencers, youth leaders, and students through targeted training, mentorship, and financial support. It fosters collaboration among diverse social groups through Idea Labs and Dialogue Caravans, creating inclusive spaces for innovative initiatives, reflection, and collective problem-solving.
Ultimately, the project seeks to strengthen a culture of dialogue and trust, promote media and information literacy as tools for peace, and build resilient, connected communities capable of addressing local challenges through understanding and cooperation.
